Lele Pre-Trial Agility Runs 27th May
Lele went for the pre-trial agility runs on 27th May at West Coast Dog Run. Full of surprises, I am very happy with her performance.
I arrived the grounds with no expectations. Amazingly, she did more than I can imagine. She did manage to complete the course despite wandering off at some point into her own world. Yet, I am overwhelmed when she responded to my calls and continue with the run. Quote – “Lele is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you get when it comes to agility.” LOL. Everyday is an opportunity to get to know lele better. She is a tough nut to crack. Will keep trying, have lots of laughter and fun and enjoying every moment with her.

Lele and Mummi 2012 Resolutions
- Compete in official Jumpers and Agility Trials
- Compete in Obedience Trials
- Participate in Canine Dancing
- All above MUST be fun, joyful and positive experience for Lele.
Looking back on year 2011, I like to recollect some of the happiest and proudest moment I had with her. Here goes,
- Lele 1st Barkday Pawty
- Lele first dog hash experience
- Lele first therapy dog volunteer work
- Lele first fun agility trial
- Lele got her first toy award from the Pets for Life @ Expo Fun Agility Competition despite coming at the last placing. Well, sadly the ball do not come with a squeaky.

“Huh, no squeaky in the ball…..”
- Lele was awarded “The Most Active Dog” at the Toa Payoh Paws N’ Friends Carnival, Fun Agility Competition.
This is lele’s third fun agility trial. I really laugh out my tears during this run. She literally shocked me with outburst of energy the moment she jump over the first pole. Spectators were also having a good laugh as she ran the course herself, her way. I was initially hesitant to offleash her at the start line. But decided to go with my gut feeling since it’s quite a complex course if we were to run with the leash on.
Lele was gone the moment she jump over her first pole. She was like a crazy dog who have not been release for ages. My mind immediately went “Oh sh**, how do I get my dog back. It will be hilarious if I were to chase down my dog in front of the spectators.”
Surprisingly, I tried recalling her a couple of times and she responded (for her case). She also followed my commands to run the course throughout other than me being too slow to guide her to the next obstacle. For the estimation of around 2-3mins in the ring, lele was driven with non-stop running coupled with occasional pause sniffing. Luckily at the finish line, she stopped and I managed to leash her up and leave the ring happily. Thank God really, I cannot imagine me having to chase her down which is almost impossible. Nevertheless, I am very proud of her performance. It’s a total different experience from the previous run which she was mostly sniffing the ground and ignoring my commands. I can feel and see she’s getting to understand and being more confident upon entering the ring and knowing what’s happening. Look forward to our official trial in 2012. Here are some photo highlights of the event.

Lele got a handshake with the Minister. Guess she is more interested in the bag of treats.

National Dog Walk 2011 (Part 1/2)
Putting aside the unfortunate accident happened at the National Dog Walk 2011, I would like to share the joyful side of the event day along with my family and friends and also extend my thank you to them once again for their support as well as looking out for lele.
21st August at East Coast Park was an extreme hot day. Me and many others fellow agility and SKC members volunteered for the event. Despite the heat, we had fun and the events went smoothly. I was helping out in the agility open championship having a chance to watch the intensity of the trials as well as participating in lele’s first fun agility trial. Overall, the experience is satisfying.
Lele did not perform during the trial which I thought she will. She sort of stressed out minutes before entering the ring and was totally not interested in any treats when we are in it. It is however her first attempt, I believe she may have feel my tension since it is also my first. Well, she manage to do a couple of jumps and walked the dog walk and A-frame. I’m delighted as I believe she did her best. Nothing is more important than seeing her having fun which I look forward to achieve when we are ready for our first official trial.
Check out some of the photos highlight of Lele and her pawpals supporters taken by CS under the scorching heat. He is so into photography especially with dogs nowadays. Adore his enthusiastic and passion. Thanks Pappi!!!

Sunday at Pet Movers
So sorry to all as Mummi got busy recently and did not work on lele’s blog. Let’s start off with our family outing on last Sunday to Pet Movers dog run.
It was a cosy afternoon at Pet Movers dog run. The only thing I like about the place is they have some agility equipments so CS and I can do some playing around with lele. Since her heat, she has always seems to be pondering on her thoughts, freezing at a position and gazing around. So getting her motivated to play or run is as difficult in hitting a jackpot at times unless you whip out her currency, FOOD. We manage to get her to workout a little but once out of food, she went back to her self exploration mode. It was a great family outing afterall as CS manage to capture some nice photos of lele girl.
Lele gazing around. “This way or back the other way???”
Charging up the “A” Frame. (with currency at sight)
“Ahhhh, I saw ……… ”
Professdog Lele in deep thoughts once again.
